HUGE SUCCESS! We are thrilled to receive the green card approval for our awesome client Karen! Her journey to become a Lawful Permanent Resident has been an incredible one. Karen was a standout student who earned a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice in the US and worked for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Missing Persons Information Clearinghouse.  She became an expert in tracking missing children and vulnerable adults, and we decided to procure her a green card without a petitioning employer on the basis that her work was in the national interests of the United States!Karen - Green Card

The National Interest Waiver is very difficult to obtain and is given only to individuals who can prove they are nothing short of exceptional and of national importance.  Individuals seeking a National Interest waiver must show evidence of an advanced degree or exceptional ability and must also meet three factors that USCIS uses to determine whether it is in the national interest that USCIS waive the requirement of a job offer and labor certification. To be approved for a national interest waiver, USCIS considerations include whether the person’s proposed endeavor has both substantial merit and national importance; whether the person is well positioned to advance the proposed endeavor; and whether it would be beneficial to the United States to waive the job offer and thus the permanent labor certification requirements. Today we received the final approval and she was processed through the Consulate and given her immigrant visa!

Our firm is incredibly proud to represent Karen and can’t wait to see her continued contributions to America! Congratulations Karen!!!
