According to the New York Times, the Senate Panel hammering out the anticipated Immigration Reform plan has supposedly come to terms with how to deal with the nation’s 11 million illegal immigrants. Under the proposed section that is being finalized, the 11 million would have to wait 10 years for their residence and work authorization to become permanent but could earn citizenship just three years after that – two years less than the usual wait time.
